The Torah has a special place in my mind, because in my view it's the only Scripture that was confirmed by the following prophets (Jesus and Muhammad), and/or the following Scriptures (The Gospel and the Quran). Jesus confirmed the Torah. The Quran clearly states that Jesus confirmed the Torah. For example, Jesus says, " And I have come  confirmin g that which was before me of the Torah ..." (Quran Sura 3:50, cf 5:46 and 61:6). The Gospel confirms this also in Matthew 5:17-19). The Quran confirms the Torah. For example, the Quran states." And believe in what I have sent down (this Qur'an),  confirmin g that which is with you, the Torah" (Quran Sura 2:41, 89, 91, and 101, also 4:47).  The phrase "confirming what is with you/them" refers to the Torah , since "you/them" here means the Jews, and the Scripture of the Jews is the Torah.
